It will focus on the positive and negative impact of each community, the struggles of black families, black businesses and how it shaped them to be the person they are today.

Friends of Garfield Park is a group of community friends and family who resources and advocacy efforts are centered around the park commonly known as "Garfield Park".
The 1865 Coalition is a collaboration of community organizations, residents, stakeholders, law enforcement, educational institutions, elected officials, local businesses, and churches who collectively have come together to host a three day “Juneteenth” celebration in Garfield Park called the “1865 Fest”
